Texas Reading club certifies 40 Young Ballinger members forty Ballinger Young sters have been officially recognized As new members of the Texas Reading club which is headquartered in Austin. The Young people participated in a month Long summer Reading program sponsored by the Ballinger Public Library and by the Texas state Library. They were required to read at least to books in order to receive certification. Three of the children who read Mon than too books each also received recognition gifts. The purpose of the Reading program which began june i and ended july i is to encourage the habit of Reading and to familiarize the youngsters with the Library which is located in the Carnegie Library building on 8th Street.
