JSaturday afternoon last, at about 4 o'clock, as Mr. A. J. Grundy, and Mr. Samuel A. Butts, who represents the publishing house of Jno. P. Morton Co.. of Louisville, were riding out on the Germantown pike, they met with a most serious accident. Just as they were near the residence of Mr. J. W. Burgess, below the city, some boys rolled a stone down the side of the hill and into the pike. This so frightened the horse that, incredible as it may seem, he bounded completely over a stone fence, some three feet in hight, taking with him the carriage and its unfortunate occupants.
