Butte, the Union candidate for City Marshal, was instrumental iu procuring the indictments against the coffee-house keepers for failing to execute bond under the act of February 17,1866. The Commonwealth’s Attorney informs us that Mr. Butts was not before the GrandJury as a witness, that he had nothing to do with it, and did not know it was to be done.
