The teenagers Range from 13 to 17 years of age. All but one of the girls have been judged delinquent by the courts and Are in the custody of the welfare department. Before entering the Home one girl said she imagined it would be like a prison another said she a thought it would be a fun place As Long As you did no to have to live with your parents a now after they have been in the Home for a while the girls agree that while it Isnit either As bad or As Good As they might have imagined at first they Are All anxious to leave. They also say they feel they Are gaining something from the experience one said her relationship with her father had improved since she had been staying at the Home. She could hug him now with a social worker there when she talked to him she could Tell him things and he is beginning now to better understand his daughter she said.
