Top honors went to Flay Wicks of the Moscow 4-h club who was awarded Reserve Cham Pion beef showman. His steer also placed first in its weight class. Champion in the beef rate of gain contest of the Market show was Don Claussen of the Freeman 4-h club. His steer won with a rate of gain of 3.54 pounds per Day. In the Swine show Clair Drescher of Pickerel Lake 4-h was awarded Reserve Cham Pion in the Swine rate of gain contest. His hog gained 2.06 pounds per Day. Christy Davis of the Oakland club was among the five finalists in the Swine showman ship contest. Standout in the state 4-h horse show which ran in con Junction with the Market show was Robbie Ashleson. The Crossroads 4-ll or placed first in the pole weaving contest. Blue ribbon winners in the state Market show beef com petition included Jeff Lyle Oakland Mark christians nun a and Jane Heers Oakland. Lyle and hers along with Wicks were also selected to compete in the beef showman ship contest. Barb 7-Cller of the Alden 4-h club was awarded a purple rib Bon for her second place steer. Swine division Blue ribbon winners included Brenda abbe Alden Jerome Goette. Freeborn Christy Davis Oakland Nora Bryson. Alden Clair Drescher Pickerel Lake Tammy Ackland Hayward Neal Drescher. Pickerel Lake Dean Goette Freeborn Sheila Larson Fairfield and Brian Gilbert son Alden. Laurie Toenges topped the plat Ings by Freeborn county 4 h ers in sheep Competition with her third place entry.
