Although the bears did not enter the District meet this year they were successful in winning honors at other meets. They Defeated Weed in a dual meet 75 to 34. Mitchell was High Point Man in this contest. In the Lincoln county invitational meet the senior team came out in third place in a Field of six class b teams whereas the Cloudcroft Junior team won top honors. Bill Betts did a Fine Job that Day winning first places in the 50 Yard dash 220 Yard dash High jump Broad jump and shot put. He came in second in the 100 Yard dash. Also he ran the Anchor leg of the second place 440 relay team. The bears did not score in the White Sands relay. Weather is a great Handicap in Cloudcroft but the boys Are in High spirits after their first fling at the sport All variety league by Wanda prior the end of the season finally rolled around and the last night of Bowling proved to be an exciting one.
