Just three years ago about 1,650 people worked for what then was York county a largest Industrial employer. Acetate filament is used to make fabric for clothing manufacturers and represents about half the plants production. The Plant also makes acetate Flake used for plastics and other acetate products like cigarette filters. The company says filament production will move to its other acetate plants in Narrows. A.
