Southkbx Relief.—A collection was taken up in Union School Chapel Methodist Church, on Sundaymorning, and $400 was subscribed for the relief ofthe destitute in the South. This sum will be handed over to the Committee appointed by the Chamber of Commerce, for distribution. It is expected that other churches will aid in this matter. The Committee have numerous applications fromdifferent sections ot the South, and are responding as fast as their moans will allow, but they need more liberal contributions. Every thing donated is sent forward promptly. All the money received is invested in corn. Mr. Jas. M. Glenn is Chairman of the Committee, and will tako charge ol the money and supplies donated.
