Paoiolua Park is the main result of ihe removal of Mr Jones to this city rheplat of ground adjoining the city on the es a billiard table as pretty as a at tracted his attention Impressed with the unequalled opportunity offered he purchased the land A part he plattfd and sold to generous citizens the pro ceeds being used immediately in the building of the track and erection of buildings The new addition r was named after sweet little Alix the won derful trotting queen The name was well chosen The rapidity df its growth resembles the flights of the little mare In six months from the time ground was first broken we find well graded streets lined with flourishing elm and maple trees Numerous hofeses have been erected and are occupied others are in course of construction and still others
