ica was a success both socially and fi The first Intention was to hold It in old armory hall but that decision was reconsidered and wisely so for that hall could not have accommodated the number of people who crowded into new armory hall There wore 84 the grand march and a number came in later Mail Sam Armstrong box of candy donated by Agnes Breen Miss Minnie wore a novel costume representing most of the bus iness houses of Woodland but it was in a class for which no prize was of A gentleman whose Identity was not discovered even after were removed wore a good makeup of Thomas Clanton but made no claim of representing a local character He de served a prize but was barred under the rules W H Bagwell had agood makeup as a decrepit old man Misses Eleanor Miller and Grafford as cadet girls were much ad mired Miss Knox as Bluebells Mrs Rob inson as an Indian princess and many others whose names we did ndt learn deserve complimentary mention Jack Marston as a cavalier wore a splendid costume It was a tossup be tween him and Andy Kramer which should have the prize and Kramer won M A Robinson A A Henley E L Clark Guy Williams and Rufus Pearse were costumed as Indian chiefs and they made a splendid appearance For the best group they would have been easy prizewinners One of the oddest makeups was that of Billy Jackson and Keefer personated a Chinaman well Joe PURELY PERSONAL
