Saturday Afternoon June the A telephone message received from Arbuckle this morning conveyed the in formation that Thomas Jefferson Shell hammer died at hii home seven miles northwest of Arbuckle Wednesday night at fortyfive minutes 11 oclock The news was a painful surprise to the friends of tbe family in city but tow ol whom knew that be was ill He waa sick for several days but his ill ness did not take a serious turn until about a week ago About that time his mother was summoned She was in formed tbat he was a very sick man and waa threatened with typhoid fever bnt a fatal termination was not antic On Wednesday a summons wu sent for Dr Kier who could not respond as he la on his way lo Louis The parents ofthe deceased and his wife nod children were at hia bedside when he his last
