Officers The annual meeting of the Woman's Club was held Monday even School Exhibit The school exhibit in Wood Co Bank block opened Tuesday on schedule time and has since enjoyed a fair patronage from tho citizens interested In school work Besides each day students in a body from the different school rooms have visited the exhibit and admired the work of their school males The exhibit consists of free hand drawings of from the first to the ninth grades basketry from the fourth fifth and sixth grades sewing of the girl pupils from the third to the ninth grades the seventh grade exhibit being suits of underwear made entirely by the hands of pupils The dressmaking dose br the eighth and ninth grade Is as good or better than the average professional work The cabinet and carpentry work in the manual training department under the super- vision of V E Thompson instructor speaks more effectively than we could for the usefulness and practical value to the student of this department in our schools attention Stevens roint Normal President Down and Out The board of normal school regents which met in La Crosse Friday passed the following Resolved That a vacancy be and is lereby declared in the presidency of the Stevens Point School to take effect at the end of the school year Jane 15 1900 In answer to criticism of their action in calling for President resignation the board makes the Criticisms in these directions have been administered to him repeatedly by committees aud by individual bers of the board Frequent criticisms of the same general nature have been voiced by graduates president does not himself properly for his class work We are Inclined to think from all have heard in this case that there are at least two sides to the question That being the case it is better that
