where he is now employed turned the burglar's revolver on him chased him up the street shouting tily and was the means of his ar- rest Mr Cook was bruised by the scuffle but not seriously injured The affair happened about 5 o'clock Monday afternoon Mr Cook was alone in the store Day's shoe store Grove avenue when a man and asked to be shown some hoes Mr Cook turned to get the hoes when a voice from behind him aid hold up your Mr Cook complied finding that he was into a revolver Later the burglar tied his hands and told him to go behind a partition in is located and to lie down upon the floor Mr Cook had no choice but to obey The burglar left him lying upon the floor while he went into the front part of the store to get some more string to tie the feet of his captive But he left the revolver in the tory and Cook was able to wrench his hands loose and grab the gun before the intruder returned They clenched over the revolver and for ten utes the struggle continued the young clerk shouting ror with what breath he could spare for that purpose Hearing relief coming the thief broke away and dashed down the street Mr Cook in lively pursuit Others joined in the chase and the burglar was captured after a run or several blocks When being taken into custody the burglar turned to Cook and said Never mind I'll get you yet Mrs Andrew Smith has returned from a visit with relatives in
