of former superintendent Bill Sevier were from left Austin Diane Sevier Bill Norma Barber and Steve Calvin the Cougar dedicated in honor of former superintendent Canyon High School has a familiar face gracing its commons Its teeth are its fur is soft and it rests high above the students who walk to and fro every Calvin the a mounted cat caught in southern New Mexico in 1990 by Austin was installed earlier this Barber was the cats original owner but when he downsized his home he gave the cat to his good Mend Bill I didnt have room for the cat any longer and Bill said he had the perfect spot for said whose Aimee graduated from Canyon in the districts superintendent from 1959 to donated the cat to Canyon High This is where the cougar Sevier Im just glad he finally found his way Sevier and his late Dolores were involved in Comal ISD for many He was a teacher and principal of Good win School in the early years of the dis Before Sevier found himself in charge of the rural school district and was one of its longest serving superin His daughter Diane Sevier Schultz and her joined Bill Barber and his when the school dedicated the cougar in honor of Sevier and his dedication to the school A
