Maloney Staff Writer New Braunfels firefighters voted to seek civil service status as city employees and will begin a petition drive Saturday to get the question on the ballot in the May municipal New Braunfels Professional Fire fighters Association officers Presi dent Arlon Vice Presi dent Ethan Lindner and Treasurer Petey Bartels made the announce ment Wednesday Voters in New Braunfels must sup port the implementation of the civ il service In order to get the question on the election firefighters must secure the signa tures of 864 registered which is 20 percent of the ballots cast in the last municipal Out of nearly 80 firefighters associ ation all but nine voted in favor of the change at the associ ations recent In firefighters sought civil ON THEIR WURST BEHAVIOR service but the
