This educational organization, associated with the League of Women Voters of Texas, operates exclusively for educational purposes in the general areas of government and public policy, carrying out its objectives through research, publication of educational materials, and other appropriate projects. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that works to promote political responsibility through active, informed participation of all citizens in their government. Neither the League nor the Education Fund supports or opposes any political party or candidate. Comal County Courthouse. IOO Main Plaza. Room 104. New Braunfels, TX 78130. (830) 620-5513 or 620-5538. Early voting temporary branches — All early voting for the constitutional amendment election will take place at the Courthouse. There will be no temporary branches or Saturday voting. Early voting by mail — Applications to have a mail-in ballot sent to you are accepted through Tuesday, November I, 2005. lf you are eligible, you may request that an application be mailed to you from the Comal County Clerk, or download the form or fill out a form online at http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/earlyvoting.shtml. Alternatively, voters may write the County Clerk's Office a letter with the following information: Name, Registered address, Address to which ballot should be mailed. Reason (must be one of the following: 65 or older. Disability, Out of town — ballot must be mailed to an out of county address). Voter's signature. If you move, your new card will not be forw arded, and you must notify your county elections office to get a new certificate. The 2004-2005 voter registration certificate is blue. •    If you have lost or misplaced your certificate, you may get a replacement from the voter registrar of your county. You may vote without a certificate if your name appears on the list of registered voters for your precinct, and you can show some form of identification. •    You must vote in the precinct of residence designated on your voter registration certificate on Election Day.
