One girl on land and one in the pond I'm telling ye, pal, being amphibious certainly has its advantages." Horoscope Wednesday, Sept. 28,2005 By Bernice Bede Osol Look for a general improvement in the year ahead in conditions which affect your basic lifestyle. If you’ve been contemplating a change of residence or making a job switch, this might be the year it could happen. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23) —Your intentions may be far more noble than those with whom you have to negotiate today, so don’t assume they are as well. You could be deceived by one who isn t operating on your scale. SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 22) — Don’t hesitate to go out of your way today to assist someone who is trying hard to help him/herself. Conversely, however, avoid those who expect you to shoulder all of their burdens. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21) — Guard your words carefully today when getting into conversations at a social gathering. A jealous acquaintance would love some ammunition to use against you to bring you down to size. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-fan. 19) — If you find yourself being a bit insecure in a competitive situation today, try to act bravely in front of your adversaries and, much to your amazement, your squeamishness will diminish greatly. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — If you feel it is safe to open up with your closest pals, and that it would immensely help you, do so. However, it would be very unwise to discuss confidential subjects with casual acquaintances. PISCES (Feb. 20-March 20) — Joint ventures could be somewhat precarious today. For example, in a situation where you should make a profit today, if a partner handles matters poorly, you could lose instead. Go it alone. ARIES (March 21-April 19) — Because you’ll look at things realistically and for what they are, you’ll be able to size up situations quite accurately today, yet you may lack the courage to take the appropriate measures. TAURUS (April 20-May 20) — If you hope to be productive today, you must be singular of purpose. Do all that you can to keep your mind from vacillating, because it would cause you to jump from one project to another. GEMINI (May 21-June 20) — If you are getting the gang together for a social activity, don’t limit the participants. A sensitive friend's feelings would be greatly hurt if she/he is not included in the arrangements. CANCER (June 21-July 22) — Mixed blessings may be your lot today. You could do such a good job entertaining at your place this evening that when it comes time to shoo everybody home, many may be reluctant to leave. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) — If you rely solely on your common sense and reason today, you can avoid a lot of complications that would otherwise be yours. Don’t give undue credence to wishes, hopes and desire. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) — Be content with the profits (even if they’re small) and the steady gains you make today. If you reach out too far in trying to grab more, you could end up with nothing but a fistful of hot air.
