The Unicorns forced the Rockets into making their share, but Judson was able to forge small comebacks in each game. Chelsie Fowler had three of her four aces in the second game, helping the Unicorns to a 10-1 lead. Huddleston had four of her IO kills and teamed with Lacy Redwine on a pair of blocks as New Braunfels ran away with the second game. The Unicorns began the third game strongly, pulling away with a 9-1 run. A clear kill by Judson’s Molly Atnip was called out, helping fuel the Unicorns to a 12-4 advantage. Judson came back with a 5-1 run to pull within 18-13, but both teams traded points until two Huddleston kills sandwiched a Rocket error to end it. Overall, the Unicorns illustrated the kind of tenacity needed to sustain points and maintained defensive intensity — both of which was sorely lacking in last week’s three-game loss at Churchill. Though they couldn’t quite close out the Rockets in a runaway, their coach was more than pleased with the effort. “I was proud of them for pulling out the first game, where they were down two down at the end. But I thought we played pretty solid,” coach Fowler said. “It was TEXAS CINEMA MARKETPLACE 12 651 Business Lp.
