Figueroa attends Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville Desirae Figueroa of New Braunfels recently attended the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. Figueroa was sponsored by Michael Smith of the New Braunfels Breakfast Lions Club. The Texas Lions Camp offers camping sessions to children ages 7 to 16 who have visual, hearing or physical disabilities, including Type I diabetes. The camp offers a variety of activities including arts and crafts, field sports, riding horses, swimming, theater and camping out overnight. The camp is a nonprofit organization, funded by the Lions of Texas and private donations. The children attend the camp at no cost to themselves or their families.
