but she is only 15 years old Impossible Not for a leap year baby Langham was born Feb 29 1944 Since then there have been 15 leap years If she lives another 40 years she will celebrate her birthday on Braunfels Independent School District officials looking to cut next years budget Taxpayers will have the chance Mon day to react to a consultants recom mendations to cut million in per sonnel and in operating costs NBISD officials need to cut the budg et to reduce a possible million deficit next year In January trustees hired a consult ant who suggested several ways to cut the operations budget including con serving electricity and changing the districts longdistance plan But most of the consultants sugges tions relate to personnel from cutting jobs to giving staff more work The district will look to cut non staffing costs but school board Presi dent Jorge Maldohado and Superin tendent Ron Reaves say it will be diffi cult to avoid some job cuts vWifo percent of the districts budget Reaves said Were going to have to address the staffing The consultant suggested cutting a middle school principal a high school counselor two elementary counselors four high school clerical staff two mid dle school clerical staff and seven ele mentary clerical staff as well as reduc ing nonteaching support staff and cus todians A suggestion to eliminate team plan ning periods at the middle school
