members of the American Cancer Society honored those who volunteer for the cause American Cance Society recognizes volunteers The Comal County Unit of the Ariieri can Cancer Society held its annual vol unteer recognition event Monday at the Comal County Senior Citizen Center Bob Peterson president of the Comal County Unit said almost 40 volunteers attended the annual event VVe do this once a year to give all the volunteers an opportunity to meet each Peterson said We also gave appreciation certificates to all the vol The Gdmal County Unit sponsors a number of programs including the annual gala in August and the Relay for LifeiriApril We also have the Look Good Feel Better program which is for women who have had treatment for Peterson said There is the Road to Recovery Program which volunteers drive cancer patients to their treatments in San Antonio and other places in the Also the Prostate Cancer Support Group meets the last Wednesday of each month Peterson said Anyone
