New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - November 2, 2003, New Braunfels, Texas Hospice strives to ensure that all those they care for are surrounded by love, compassion and dignity. In caring for the whole person, not just the disease, hospice brings high-quality, comprehensive care to the home - wherever the patient calls home. During National Hospice Month, a major goal of Hope Hospice is to encourage people to learn about the choices available for those facing life-limiting illness. Texas Tuxedo is the most recent Memorial Quilt produced by the New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild for Hope Hospice. Our thanks to the members of the Guild who worked on Texas Tuxedo: Bret Adams Nancy Ament Flo Bateman Leola Bond Libby Cogswell Henri Daywood Susan Derkacz Terri Firth Rhonda Gabriel Caryl Gaubatz Joyce Glessner Theresa Green Sharon Gregorczyk Trudy Gwosdz June Henke Jane Hurley Ginger Jackson Susan Johnson Terri Jungmann Helen Lazor Sharan McCall Glenna McKandles Carrell Mioller Jane Nellis Frances Overstreet Wilma Peters Gretel Ruester Maxine Sabol Pat Schneider Helen Slattery Garnet Szurek Lynn Thompson Kathy Wilcox Jean Wood Linda Woodward and Mary Worley Each year, Hope Hospice sponsors the creation of a Memorial Quilt in honor of the patients and families who have allowed us to serve them. The quilt blocks contain fabric contributed by the patients’ family and the quilts are on display at the Hope Hospice office, 611 N. Walnut Avenue, where they serve as a lasting tribute to the people who have received hospice service. We invite you tv uh it the 8 quilts cheated ainee 1995 at the Mope Mea pice office anytime.
