Oelsen, April 17, 1935 to June 28, 2003. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. Shirley R. Oelsen “Dollye,” of New Braunfels, Thxas, was received into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus, June 28, 2003. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by her family and other loved ones. Dollye will be deeply missed by her sons, Stacy J. Oelsen and wife, Susan, of San Antonio, Texas, Victor V. Oelsen and wife, Ellen, of New Braunfels, Texas, and Ward C. Oelsen and wife, Christy, of Branson, Mo.; exhusband, Gary Oelsen, of Orange Beech, Al.; three HELMLY Dell C. Helmly, 81, of Amarillo, Texas, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003. Burial and services were held last Saturday    in Amarillo. Mrs. Helmly was    a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and a staunch patriot. She married the love of her life, Tem Helmly, in 1942 at Randolph Field Chapel in San Antonio. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loyal supporter of her family, a volunteer in the community and, most of all, a generous and loving wife and nieces and nine grandchildren. Dollye grew up on a farm in Hornersville, Mo., with three sisters. She attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, Mo., then graduated from the University of Missouri in Colombia with a masters degree in music. She married Gary Oelsen in 1953 and raised her three sons in Bella Vista, Ar. She appraised real estate and earned the title of MAI of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. Dollye had a great love of music, her family and people in general. She dedicated many of the last years of her life to helping people and loving people with alcohol and drug addictions. Dollye was honored July I at the luanda Park Estates Private Island in New Braunfels, Texas. We love you Dollye and will miss you very much. You are a servant of God who has gone on to enjoy the rewards of your labor. We will see you soon and will be togeter forever! mother. Dell, early on the day of her death, had been doing the things she loved, tending her plants with her loving husband of 61 years. She lost her battle with heart disease but left a lifetime of love, support and teaching to those who knew her. Survivors include her husband; a son, Recd Helmly, of New Braunfels; two granddaughters, Amy Olsen, of New Braunfels, and Haley Krock, of San Antonio, and three great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established in her memory with Cal Farley’s Geistown USA, PO. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174, 830-372-2341. LEACH Delores Steinhoff Leach, age 71, has passed from this life. Born in Dallas, Texas, she was loved by many people and will be missed by all who knew her. ' She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter William Leach Jr.; her son, Walter William Leach III; and her parents, Wilbur Steinhoff and Hazel Starkey. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Hays and husband, Eddie, of Tucson, Ariz., and laitih Lusby and husband, Paul, of New Braunfels, Texas; her three sons, Gary I/each and wife, Brenda, of San Antonio, Texas, Dee Leach and wife, Brenda, of Fairfield, Texas ’and Gordon Leach of Corpus Christi, Texas; her two brothers, Jimmy Starkey, of Glenns Park, Texas, arid Larry Starkey, of Bremerton, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of many other family members and friends. A church service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lakeside Baptist Church. She will lay to rest Monday morning at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
