Braunfels girls golf team finished second behind Lake Travis to quali fy for the Region IV4A Tour nament Christine Kovalcik placed first overall after shooting a tworound total 151 Teammate Ashley Minton added a 182 Court ney Kruppa scored a 183 91 Kimberly Gary recorded a 208 96112 and Kelsey Crandall rounded out the scoring with a 213 Meredith McDonald of NBHS competed as a medal ist and shot a 198 The Canyon girls golf team which had advanced to the regional and state golf tour naments the past four years placed third at district and did not qualify for regionals Josh Ray led the NBHS
