nightclub where a fire sparked by a rock bands pyrotechnics killed 96 Still at issue was whether the heavy metal group Great White had permis sion to set off the fireworks during their first song late Thursday igniting foam ceiling tiles and sending more than 300 concertgoers scrambling for the exits as the club quickly filled with thick black smoke Owners of The Station the onestory wooden nightclub say they were never told of Great Whites plan to use the pyrotechnics a claim echoed by at least four other venues where the band played in the past month At least 96 people were burned to death or crushed and 180 were injured in their frantic fight to escape on Saturday 65 people remained hospital ized more than a dozen critically One woman who could not be identified was being treated at Massachusetts General Hospitals burn unit Bush US will offer new UN resolution CRAWFORD Texas AP President Bush declaring that Saddam Hussein has not disarmed and does not intend to said Saturday
