Wetumpka died peacefully at home on Mon day Dec 16 2002 Burial was at Watson Chapel Cemetery Annex in Elmore County Alabama Mrs Hall is survived by her husband of 69 years Rufus E Hall five children living in Alabama one child residing in Florida three grandchildren and one greatgrandson that the Halls adopted and a host of grandchildren great grandchildren and one greatgreatgrandcluld Also surviving Mrs Hall is one sister Ann Doug Deringer of Kilmarnock and two brothers Britton Dickey Barbara Rutherford of Thousand Oaks and David Barbara Rutherford of New Braunfels ITexas SEIDEL Mary Frances Dollie Geisbauer Boehmer Seidel went to be with her Lord on Jan 3 2003 after being born on Feb 13 1918 in H o t Springs Ark She was reared by Catholic nuns Sr Anne Sr Regina and Sr Modesta in St Josephs Orphanage in Lit tle Rock until she was adopted by the Jake Steele family in Fort Smith Ark After finishing high school she became a hair stylist but her customers did too much gossiping to suit her Therefore she went into nurses training in St Josephs Hospital in Boonville with affilia tions at St Louis University and Mt St Rose Hospital Following training and two years practice in St Josephs Hospital she joined the Navy Nurse Corp Reserve as an ensign She served for three years and three months and was discharged as a full lieutenant On July 30 1946 she married Edmund 0 Seidel They had three children Georg M Seidel of San Antonio Texas who gave them Nick and Elise as grandchildren Gretchen Ann Jones of Fred ericksburg Texas with Ted Jeff and William and Helen McQueeny of Carbondale with Paul She did some private duty nursing but always managed to take good care of her husband and children She had such a good musical ear that she could very quickly play any musical instrument soon after she picked it up She took a few piano lesbians but studied the violin longer She seemed to be happiest when a group would gather behind her while she played the piano to accompany the groups singing Any song they would hum t her she quickly picked up the tune on the piano playiikg by ear Most of her sessi6ns went on for at least tWo hours Her family and many friends have lofet their favorite piano player so she can accompany many angels choirs Cbmmittal services will be held on Tuesday Jan 7 2002 at 2 in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery a memo rial service will Peter and Paul Catholic Church Interment will be held at at Fort Sam Houston National Ceme tery Arrangements are under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home ROBERTS Paul Regene Roberts 70 of New Braunfels Texas passed away Wednesday Jan 1 2003 at San Anto nios Methodist Transplant and Specialty Hospital Mr Roberts was born June 22 1932 in Amarillo Texas to Paul Regene Roberts and Dora Whitman Roberts He served active duty in the Navy for two years before being honorably dis charged in 1959 He received his bachelors of business administration degree in 1955 and doctor of jurisprudence degree in 1959 from the University of Texas at Austin Mr Roberts began his law career in San Antonio He first worked in private practice and then served as an assistant city attorney for San Antonio He also worked for the Texas Highway Department for 10 years as a rightof way attorney In 1969 he began practic ing in New Braunfels Texas as an associate of the Marlon Borchers law firm He was subsequently elected as Comal County Attorney serving in office for four years and finally ended his law career in pri vate practice at Canyon Lake Texas eventually retiring in 1997 Mr Roberts was preceded in death by his parents His survivors include his wife of 47 years Margaret Riebe Roberts stepmother Doris Roberts son Paul R Roberts III and wife Sandy and their three children Jennifer Paul IV and Michelle daughter Shari Streb and husband Joseph and their two children Lau ren and Michael Visitation will begin at 4 Sunday Jan 4 2002 at the Zoeller Funeral Home and continue until Monday The family will be present from 5 to 7 Sunday at the funeral home to greet friends Services will be Monday at 10 at the First Unit ed Methodist Church in New Braunfels with inter ment to follow in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park Honorary pallbearers will be past and present mem bers of the Larry Larsen Mens Sunday School class at the First United Methodist Church of which he led for nearly years
