NBISD Briefs Improvement council hearing The Districtwide Education Improvement Council of New Braunfels Independent School District will conduct a hearing regarding the 19992000 Academic Excellence Public Information Officer What started out as small talk on an airplane between New Braunfels ISO School Board President Bill Biggadike and an elementary school teacher from has now turned into an early partnership between the two I met a Lucy Elementary teacher on a plane recently and we both discovered we were from education She dis cussed her districts struggle with bilingual and I told her of our success in that I knew just the person to help with their Biggadike when Biggadike returned to New he mentioned the incident to Mary coordi nator of bilingual education for New Braunfels Within three Padilla received a call from the principal of Lucy already planning a trip to Tennessee to conduct a work shop for the contacted Principal Rebecca Flow and set up arrangements to visit her They were excited about me Padilla I ended up giving an orienta tion to many of the teachers in the district who had Limited English Proficient students in their I gave them infor VMfiHBl NBISD photo Mary
