Klein of San Antonio was bom July 13, 1901, in Marion, Texas, and entered into rest Dec. 24, 1997, at the age of 96. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at 702 Cincinnati Ave. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, R.W. Klein, in 1977. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Irene Klein; daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Sam Wolf; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Nell Kurre and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 26, at Sunset Funeral Home in San Antonio. Funeral services will be conducted at I p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Flowers are welcomed; if friends, so desire, memorials may be made to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 702 Cincinnati Ave., San Antonio, TX 78201, or to the charity of one’s choice. Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway San Antonio TX 78218 ANNIE IKELS ACKER Annie Ikels Acker passed away on Dec. 23,1997, in New Braunfels, at the age of 85 years. She is survived by grandchildren Carolyn Pittman and husband Robert of New Braunfels, Douglas Ikels and wife Christine of New Braunfels, Danny Ikels and wife LaMae of New Braunfels, David Ikels and wife Peri of New Braunfels and Cathlynne Rivard and husband Joel of New Braunfels; 12 greatgrandchildren, daughter-in-law Virginina Ikels. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund in 1989 and by one son, Gilbert Ikels, in 1991. Visitation began at noon Friday, Dec. 26, at the Zoeller Funeral Home. She will lie in state from 6:30 pm Friday at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at the church. A Mass of celebration win be at I pm Saturday at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with entombment to follow in die church mausoleum. Following the service, everyone is invited foe a reception at the Sterling House, 2457 Loop 337. KRACKAU Mrs. Hilda A.Krackau, age 90, of New Braunfels, died Wednesday, Dec. 24,1997, at the Eden Home. She was bom Hilda Anna Havertah on April 29, 1907, in Lenz, Texas, in Kames County to Louis Haveriah and Louise Schroeder Haveriah. She was baptized in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kames City, Texas, and confirmed as an adult in the First Protestant Church in New Braunfels, Texas. She remains a faithful member of die church. She was die youngest of a fattily of nine children (all now deceased). She married Martin C. Jostes in Tynan, Texls, on Dec. 16, 1933, and he died on Aug. 30, 1936. On Nov. 22, 1942, she married Rudolph Krackau in New Braunfels, Texas. He died on June 6, 1969. She was a member of the Hermann Sons Lodge No. 21, Senior Citizens and AARP. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her , many friends. Survivors are children and stepchildren Jeanett (Jostes) Dieteit and her husband Darvin L. of New Braunfels, Elroy Krackau of New Braunfels, Myrtle Timmerman of Nipoma, Calif.; three grandchildren, Dale Dieteit of New York, N.Y., Carey Dieter! and his wife Holly of Austin, Texas, Dena Fielder of New Braunfels; and two great-grandchildren, Nicole and Douglas Dieteit of Austin. Funeral services are Saturday, Dec. 27, at IO am. at First Protestant Church with the Rev. Richard Carse officiating. Interment will follow in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Visitation began at IO am. Friday, Dec. 26, and will continue until 8:30 am. Saturday.
