Auxiliary No 2999 conducted its business meeting on Dec 1 with 23 members in attendance Fay reported on sick members Alixia Hampe Normal Jean Zinkgraf Barbara Whites Melva Kuehne Roma Voigt Sadie Wersterfer and Frances Halbardier The Sunshine committee reported a food tray was taken to the Busch family and sandwiches to the Hanz Family on the deaths of members Etta Hanz and Alonzo Busch husband of Florie Busch Sue reported on her Bingo kitchen for state project Trustee secretary auditor treasurer and Wurstfest reports also were given The secretary reminded members that it was time to pay their dues Bernice Ebensberger state grandmother presented all her granddaughters present with a heart pin It was voted to have two fish fries and one dance in early 1998 to benefit St Judes Ranch for Children the Eagle State Project The Grand Madame President Sharon Sabourin will visit the auxiliary on Jan 5 1998 There will be a visit to St Judes Ranch in the afternoon and a salad supper at the Aerie Hall at with special presentations Members attending are asked to bring a salad meat will be furnished Families are reminded that a special Eagles Graveside service was available for loved ones in time of death The person must have been a member in good standing dues Also the family may use the hall if available for refreshments after the funeral Members were reminded of the Joint Christmas Party and the Auxiliary Christmas Party Colonial Dames The Comal Springs Chapter Colonial Dames XVII Century of New Braunfels met Nov 25 at for its regular meeting at the Educational Building on Mill Street Delicious refreshments were served by the hostesses Mrs Barrow and Mrs Joe Alexander The chamber was honored by the presence of the State President Mrs Herbert J Bilhartz of Medina She brought greetings from the state and invited members to attend the state convention to be conducted Feb 26 28 in Houston at the Medallion Hotel Chapter President Mrs Tom Hubbard presided at the business meeting Pledges to the flags were repeated in unison and the invocation was given by Mrs Glenn Johnson cochaplain Registrar Mrs Robert Henry of San Marcos reported on supplements pending for Mrs John Program Chairman Mrs Barrow presented a tape by Robert Hughes entitled The Republic of dealing with with Thomas Jefferson He stated Thomas Jefferson was one person from all the dead Americans that I wish I could talk to because of the overwhelming attractive case of his Views of Monticello and its furnishings proved very interesting The next meeting will be Jan 27 1998 at the
