services Commissioners will convene for a special meeting at Friday to canvass the results from the constitutional amendment and Bulverde incorporation elections Garden Ridge City Council The Garden Ridge City Council will meet at 7 today in the municipal court building 9357 Schoenthal Road The council will discuss a number of items such as the final plat for the Winco subdivision off of FarmtoMarket 2252 and transferring the franchise for solid waste collection within the city from Alamo Waste to USA Waste Services of San Antonio Inc The council will consider the appointment of two people to the Garden Ridge Water Commission CISD The Comal Independent School District board of trustees will approve high school graduation locations at its meeting Thursday night The board previously directed the administration to reserve the Blossom Athletic Center for commencement exercises for both high schools Last month the board heard reports from a student representative from each campus The Canyon High School representative said students wanted to keep the ceremonies at Cougar Stadium and were willing to risk inclement weather to maintain a tradition A Smithson Valley High School representative said the schools facilities were large enough to handle the exercises She said students supported moving graduation to San Antonio The board will consider approving high school graduation locations during a meeting in the District Administration Building Reports also will be given regarding the 199697 Academic Excellence Indicator System results the transportation
