New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - August 31, 1997, New Braunfels, Texas □ Herald-Zeitung □ Sunday, August 31,1997 Greater chamber unveils new Youth Leadership New Braunfels program Applications being accepted at chamber office through Sept. 15 The Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce will be accepting applications for its Youth Leadership New Braunfels program until Sept. 15. According to committee chairman Wes Studdard, “The Greater Chamber is kicking off this new project this year, and the Leadership New Braunfels Alumni Association is sponsoring it. Twenty-seven 10th- and 11th-graders in our two local school districts will be selected, with nine students from each of the three high schools.” The focus of the program will be to help high school students learn more about their community, gain personal and leadership skills and interact with students from other schools and backgrounds, Studdard said. “The class will be chosen with diversity in mind and will include individuals representing gender, ethnicity and personal interests,” he said. Questions regarding the program can be directed to the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce at 625-2385. Applications may be picked up at the chamber office, 390 S.
