the sale of the City Bakery but it deserves more than the brief mention made A C Plumeyer came here ten years ago after a number of years of experience in the bakery business in different parts of the state his last eight years having been as foreman with an Austin bakery and decided to go into business in the town where he was born and reared He bought out a small log building on San Antonio street about 12 feet square and started making bread in the old fashioned hand way It was not long until he found the building was too small and he built the line brick block now occupied which is a credit to the town From then on he began installing the most improved machinery until now the plant is almost complete REINSPECTION REPORT Following is a summary of the re inspection report made by Engineer Geo C Hawley on June 7 1922 for the State Fire Insurance Commission The report covers three large pages and deals with every condition which in any way refers to the water works plant or to BY TRANSATLANTIC CALL Nationwide interest turned to International news Saturday when Sheriff Scholl answered the phone Sheriff Scholl was sitting in his office about Saturday afternoon when his phone rang and upon answering was England The Britisher made sure he was talking to the Sheriff and told him his paper The London Daily Mirror was going to run a story about the Dr Lloyd Ross Murder Case The Mirror reporter checked all facts and wanted all new information on the case for the story Sheriff Scholl said it was not the first time he had received long distance calls on the case but it was the first time he had ever talked to London and also interviewed at the same time Other calls received were in the and mostly from large cities such as Chicago Philadelphia and Boston Randolph Reinarz has returned home after starting training at the New York Giants training camp in Jacksonville Texas Reinarz was given a release when the muscles in his left arm were pulled during training 25 years ago 1972 Myra Lee Adams Goff KNOX RESIGNS FROM CITY COUNCIL Knox resigned from the City Council Monday night leaving a vacancy until the September elections His recent appointment to the board of the GuadalupeBlanco River Authority required him to give up the city post at once He had not planned to seek re election to the council A resolution was passed by the council to provide for the vacant post on the ballot in the regular city election in September Dr Berthe Frueholz who practiced medicine for 35 years in New Braunfels died Aug 13 at New Braunfels Hospital A native of Steinham Wuerttenberg Germany Dr Frueholz was born Jan 25 1890 the daughter of Julius and Margarethe Hirkhold Eberle She received her doctor of medicine degree in 1918 from the University of Tuebingen Germany In 1917 she was married to Dr Frederick Frueholz a fellow student They practiced medicine in Germany before coming to the in 1924 After a year in New York City they came to Nordheim and to New Braunfels in 1926 Husband and wife practiced as a team she specializing in obstetrics and pediatrics and assisting him in surgery Dr Berthe Frueholz had practiced medicine a total of 42 years when she retired in 1961 Dr Frederick Frueholz died in 1962 After retirement Dr Berthe Frueholz devoted three years to the research and writing of her autobiography for her children She also took an increasingly active part in church and civic organizations She had served as president of the Comal County Medical Society President of the New Braunfels Hospital Medical Staff and a director of the
