(AP) — Although their fans are loving it, the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers aren't ecstatic over an extra week of training camp and a fifth exhibition game. Some veterans, in feet, would prefer to jump straight into the regular season. “They pretty much know who’s going to make the team, so let’s just cut out exhibition games,” wide receiver Don Beebe said • “Nobody likes training camp,” All-Pro safety LeRoy Butler said “But this is important. Everybody’s trying to push us off that hill.” Before the Packers open defense of their title on Sept I against Chicago, they’ve got five exhibitions, beginning wife Miami on July 26. With almost no starting jobs up for grabs and precious few roster spots available, rookies aod free agents worked out for the first time on Thursday. Veterans are scheduled to report to the team’s St Norbert College training base tonight for coach Mike Holmgren’s annual orientation meeting. For All Your Body Shop Needs ;
