Police are investigating a report of damage to an aircraft Tuesday at the New Braunfels Municipal Airport Detective Basel Boatright said a witness saw a man attempt to break into a plane leased by Southern Wings a flighttraining school at about 8 Tuesday The witness an employee of another company at the airport reported that the man flew into the airport left his plane and then used force to attempt to enter the damaged Change plane Boatright said He left in his own plane without entering the damaged plane he said adding that damage to an aircraft is a federal offense The witness was able to obtain the tail number of the plane which has led police to identify a suspect and learn that the plane was rented from a company at the San Antonio International Airport police said FBI officials from San Antonio were called into the investigation and police expect to make an arrest soon Boatright said From Page 1 hang up and dial again with the correct area code Officials stressed that local calls made with the current area code will keep the local service rate with the new area codes The only change will be that some calls will require callers to dial 10 digits the new area code plus the sevendigit number when placing local calls between area codes Cellular phone users officials said must contact their provider to know how the change would affect them Cellular customers will have a oneyear transitional dialing period to allow users sufficient time to make any changes to their service if they are affected by the area code split WHAT TO UPDATE Comal County will have a new 830 area code by midsummer Here is a suggested list of things to do now to avoid problems later For your residential number Update the area code on the front of checks Make sure credit card companies know your new area code Inform friends and family who live in places outside the local calling area Update your speeddial functions at home For your office Update automated phone systems including PBX systems Inform all customers of the change no matter how many times they do business with you Update modems and automatic fax systems Update all business publications including business cards letterhead and advertising such as brochures and materials Audrey W Muse Mrs Audrey W Muse was born January 25 1932 in Ware Massachusetts and died in Houston on May 7 1997 Mrs Muse moved to Houston in 1968 where she began her career in the medical profession as a receptionist and later office manager She was also a member of the Houston Lieder Kranz Club Mrs Muse is survived by her daughter Dawn Sheree of New Braunfels mother Mildred Allen of Houston granddaughters Taasha Sheree Schmidt of Katy Shambree Dawn Schmidt and Keesha Nichole Schmidt of New Braunfels sonsin law Stephen Pall Skeen and Douglas Daroh Cardenas and Michelle Mills Cardenas died Wednesday May 7 1997 in San Antonio She is survived by her parents Matthew and Michelle Cardenas of New Braunfels maternal grandparents George Mills and Bee Dennis of San Antonio paternal grandparents Gilbert and Darlene Cardenas of New Braunfels numerous aunts and uncles A memorial service will be held 2 Saturday at the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel
