physicians have formed an alliance to make sure patients receive the best possible care without having to leave New Braunfels Dr Carlos Campos physician organizer for Central Texas Health Alliance said managed care systems such as Secure Horizons will eventually come to New Braunfels to provide local residents with services He said local doctors want to be ready for them One of the things we wanted to do was bring sort of a coalition of physicians together to better negotiate with other managed care Campos said He said CTHA was formed to provide a choice for local residents and to quality care He said being abje to negotiate as a group will snow more services to be offered in New Braunfels rather than San Antonio This way it will allow those people to stay here in New Braunfels and have a choice for their he said CTHA was created in partnership with Primary CareNet of Texas a San Antoniobased medical services and physician practice management company Primary CareNet will provide the business infrastructure for the alliance Jeff Puckett chief executive officer for Primary CareNet of Texas said the company pools the services expertise and infrastructure of various physicians to help coordinate negotiations with various Health Maintenance Organizations Preferred Provider Organizations or managed care companies He said it is a way of helping local doctors prepare for the Manor Care Center in New Braunfels Mr Looney was born on March 16 1911 in McAlester Oklahoma to George Matthew Looney and Mamie Gelabert Looney He married Virginia M Dietert Looney on Nov 7 1981 in New Braunfels He was a resident of New Braunfels since 1978 and a former resident of Tulsa and McAlester Oklahoma Mr Looney was a retired switchman for Katy Railroad and he loved to play and watch manager and homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma She had been employed in the mental health field for a number of years She was a caring unselfish and loving
