Catherine Annette Wiesner and Mr Patrick William Manley both of New Braunfels were united in marriage Dec 28 1996 at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Dennis Fred Wiesner of New Braunfels Her grandparents are Mr and Mrs Fred Frank Wiesner and Mrs Claudia Sullivan Allen The groom is the son of Ms Gloria Olin Manley of New Braunfels and Mr John McCarthy Manley of San Jose Costa Rica Msgr Edward Bily celebrated the 7 nuptial mass Music was provided soloist Mary Tamayo and organist Barbara Houde Serving as readers were Joseph Sullivan Allen uncle of the bride Deborah Lynn Ramey aunt of the bride and Robert Edward uncle ofifie groom Presentation of the gifts was by John Hensley friend of the bride and Wayne Douglas Wiesner uncle of the bride The church was decorated with six pillar candles on the front pews with a white satin bow attached to the bottom of each and white satin bows alone along the remaining pews Escorted by her father the bride wore a white satin gown designed by Madeline Gardner for Mori Lee The gown featured a soft scooped neckline and long lace sleeves The fitted bustier bodice dropped to a Basque waist which gave way to a long full satin skirt and cathedral length train The skirt was accented with beaded lace appliques and a wide hem lace edging the entire skirt and train The brides headpiece was a wreath of silk flowers pearls and iridescent beads It featured loops of pearls underneath a pout and a double veil of illusion The bride carried an arm bouquet consisting of three calla lilies one dozen white roses and assorted greenery tied with a white velvet ribbon Amber Lyn Vazquez friend of the bride was the matron of honor Bridesmaids were Duffy Doyle Crane friend of the bride Elizabeth Elaine Kirkman friend of the bride Sharon Manley Long sister of the groom Janis Ball Manley sisterin law of the groom Leyu Dawn Simmons friend of the bride Heather Alanmi Thomas friend of the bride Emily Ann Way friend of the bride and Stephanie Lynn Wiesner sister of the bride The bridesmaids dresses were emerald green velvet and iridescent taffeta A portrait collar neckline enhanced the dropped waist and velvet bodice and full taffeta floorlength skirt The bridesmaids curried arm bouquets consisting of one calla lily and assorted greenery tied with red velvet ribbon Shannon McCarthy Long niece of the groom was the flower girl Her was emerald green velvet with 3 sweetheart neckline and tea length skirt She carried a white wicker basket filled with red and white roses and assorted draped with white linen table cloths A long wide green velvet ribbon ran down the middle of the table while a hurricane lamp covered a white candle on top of a circular mirror Completing the centerpieces was a wreath of assorted greenery surrounding the mirror and red rose petals scattered around it In the main room large ferns adorned with white twinkle lights covered the edge of the stage while ficus trees covered with white twinkle lights decorated the remainder of the Civic Center A large ice sculpture of the University of Texas Hook Em Horns sign stood in the foyer The brides cake was a basket weave design Van Horn cake It was a white cuke with white icing and alternating middle layers of vanilla and Italian cream cheese The layers were separated on multilevel Gardenias and red roses decorated the cake Slundup arrangements behind the cake were made up of larkspur ivy and red roses Assisting with serving were Amy Nicole Kuehl friend of the bride Lisa Michelle Landis friend of the bride and Mary Nan Marek aunt of the bride In charge of the brides book were Amy Nicole Kuehl and Lisa Michelle Landis Assisting with decorating were Mr and Mrs John Marek uncle and aunt Gardner The Vneck bodice with long tapered sleeves and a dropped Basque waist was adorned with handbeaded Madeira lace The sheath gown was enhanced by a train also adorned with beaded lace We brides
