New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - December 19, 1996, New Braunfels, Texas Herald-Zeitung □ Thursday, December 19, 1996 “I 3Honor a loved one by participating in the Hospice New Braunfels Tree of Lights fund-raising campaign Hospice New Braunfels provides care for terminally ill patients and their families in Comal and surrounding counties. The annual Tree of Lights campaign is the major fund-raising drive for the 12-year-old non-profit hospice. Donations may be made to Hospice New Braunfels in honor of someone living or in memory of someone w ho has died. A light is added to the Christmas tree atop New Braunfels Utilities building for each donation made during the campaign. There also is a tree in the lobby of McKenna Memorial Hospital with white paper doves on which the names or events honored by the donors are written. Hospice New Braunfels is committed to providing physical, social, emotional and spiritual support through which it strives to help patients maintain control over their lives and complete them with dignity, purpose and peace.
