According to President Robert Orr, the bank has requested approval from the Office of the Comptroller to relocate the bank. Also, the water treatment plant, designed by Schultz Engineering of New Braunfels, has been completed and submitted to the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission, a requirement to protect the Edwards* Aquifer. “The Houston architectural firm of McCleary/German Associates has completed the design of our new facility, and I sincerely believe everyone will find ^aesthetically pleasing for the site and the community,” said Joe Har-tigan, senior vice president of operations. “With 3,000 square feet, it will be a Hill Country ranch design with a standing seam metal roof and native Texas stone.” Rita Kaufmann, vice president/manager, said “The move can’t come soon enough. Since our growth has been phenomenal, working in our ‘cracker box’ has sometimes been challenging for both employees and customers. I know our customers will be as delighted as we will be when our new facility is completed.” OakRun developer Rob Eversberg said that he and the neighbors in the OakRun Subdivision are looking forward to the official ground breaking which will signify that construction can begin. “I predict that once First Commercial is in operation on this site, you will see a lot more development on this side of New Braunfels,” he said.
