alleged militia plan to stnke back at federal government offices and officers as well as the media in the event of ah attack on the Montana Freemen compound Project Worst Nightmare is actually a fitting name for the whole Freemen situation which looks as if it will end in blood shed unless those inside have a change of heart According to Freemen leaders last week their selftitled Jus tus Township is protected by Yahweh God and they will not leave under threat from the FBI BATF or any other law enforce ment agency none of whom the Freemen recognize as legiti mate On the government side another standoff with a heavily armed antigovernment group was the Worst Nightmare agents were hoping to avoid Following the Dashing they and Janet Reno took for their han dling of the Ruby Ridge and Waco standoffs and carnage to find themselves staring down guntoting Freemen must truly be tUtiiUUMt Sill tOOO in gunfire in Montana iAnd now to learn of a plot by other antigovernment extrem ists to hit back if the Freemen are taken by force should convince federal agents that they must undertake any similar operations in the future under different circumstances Two leaders of the Freemen group were arrested for their alleged involvement in check fraud and threats against a federal judge But their followers were left at the compound with their arms to continue the Freemen Its time Reno the readers responded last weeks survey question How should res idents of New Braunfels respond to the proposed KKK rally her June 17 Some of their responses follow Stay away from the rally If no one showed up the KKKs rally would be a fizzle They should stay away Most importantly this includes the press If there are no newspaper radio or TV reporters there it could be a non event For one the press should be smart and stay away I believe that the residents of New Braunfels should not react in any way As we all know we cannot tell them that they cannot rally but what will they have
