C.J. Czelusta, Christina Robinson and Devin Koehler Target announces recipients of scholarships The New Braunfels Target store presented scholarship awards to Christina Robinson, Devin Koehler and C. J. Czelusta at a ceremony held at the store recently as part of the Target All-Around Scholarship Program. The Target All-Around Scholarship Program is awarding $1.5 million to 1,371 young leaders nationwide. “We are extremely pleased to be able to help these deserving kids realize their hopes and dreams of furthering their education beyond high school,” said Leigh Ann Thompson, Target store team leader. “Target All-Around Scholarship awards are just part of our ongoing commitment to the future strength of this community.” Christina Robinson attends Navarro High School and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. She was involved in hospital volunteer service and is in the band and marching band. She plans to attend Southern Nazarene University. Devin Koehler attends Canyon High School and was awarded a $ 1,000 scholarship. He is active in conservation work and has volunteered on river cleanup projects, improving trails in Landa Park, landscaping at Landa Park and also helping the elderly. Devin has received the Eagle Scout Award, conservation awards and academic awards. He plans to attend Texas Luther an College. C. J. Czelusta attends CHS and was awarded a $2,500 scholarship. C. J. was a volunteer with 4-H, Southwest Guide Dog Foundation, San Antonio Metropolitan Ministry, Elf Louise and church groups. He has received many leadership awards and has held offices in local 4-H clubs. C. J. plans to attend Texas A&M University. Recipients were selected by a committee from the Citizen’s Scholarship Foundation of America. Awards were based on three criteria: length of time and hours of community or volunteer service; grade point average of at least 2.0; and an essay on the role of the family. ;
