She is employed by Doctors’ Memonal Hospital as a registered nurse. The groom to be is the son of Mrs. Mary Henderson of Dumas, Texas. He is a 1990 graduate of high school in Dumas, and a 1994 graduate of Texas Tech University. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and is employed as a developmental engineer at carrier Corporation. An April 20, 1996 wedding at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels is planned. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Babb Babb, Rutledge wed in single-ring ceremony Patricia Ann Rutledge and Harvey Merle Babb, both of Victoria, Texas, were married at 5:30 p.m., Friday, March 8, 1996. The wedding took place at the home of Neal and Ruth Joslyn, 101 Dunbar, Victoria, with Rev. Michael Perkins officiating the single-nng ceremony. This recognition cites undergraduate students for academic achievement. Though not the only indication of educational accomplishment, outstanding grades mark the meeting of high challenges set by the University’s faculty members. In order to be eligible, a student must have been enrolled for 12 or more semester hours of study and have earned an exceptional grade-point average. Ann Spitzer ■ Ann Michelle Spitzer of Austin, daughter of Gary and Paula Spitzer of New Braunfels, graduated Dec. 16, 1995, from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science and Consumer Sciences degree. While at SWTSU, Michelle was on the Dean’s List and was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority, where she was Outstanding Pledge, Vice-President of her. pledge class, Secretary, and Panhel-lenic Officer. Michelle is employed by Dillard’s in Austin. ■ The Sons of the American Revolution fraternal organization honored a San Antonio parole officer for his outstanding contribution to public safety. The ward was presented at the Holiday Inn in New Braunfels at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Charles Mot/ IV, a longtime New Braunfels resident, was selected td receive the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal and Certificate by the New Braunfels Chapter of the national fraternal and patriotic organization. Motz has been a parole officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division since 1991. He received a BS in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University in 1984. In addition to his duties as a parole officer, he is a Captain in the US. Army Reserve. Adriana Saad ■ The New Braunfels Evening Rotary Club held a contest asking children to express their concerns for their families and communities by creating a poster with the theme “How to make the world a better place to live. The winner is Adriana Saad. Adnana is a kindergarten student at New Braunfels Christian Academy. Her poster is entered in the Rotary International Worldwide poster Contest, where it will be displayed at the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada. ■ Eight'students from Holy Cross College are included in the 19% Talent Roster of Outstanding Minority Students from two-year colleges. The ros- Greg Gunderson n Gregory N. Gunderson, LUTFC, of New Braunfels, recently earned membership in Lutheran Brotherhood's 1995 President's Club. Gunderson is associated with the organization's Robert Beglau Agency in Austin. President's Club is one of Lutheran Brotherhood's highest sales honors. Only seven percent of more than 1,600 Lutheran Brotherhood representatives qualified for this recognition in 1995. Representatives qualify for membership in the club based on the sale of insurance and investment products to Lutherans. Lutheran Brotherhood offers a broad range of financial products and services to Lutherans nationwide.
