Kern, of McQueeney, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1996 at Colonial Manor Care Center in New Braunfels at the age of 87. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 25, 1996 at 11:30 a.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel, followed by cremation. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Therapy and Research, 8122 Datapoint, Ste. 1000, San Antonio, TX 78229. M fer~ FUNERAL HOME Nelda Charlene Hammond Tigner Nelda Charlene Hammond Tigner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away Jan. 22, 19%, at Baylor Hospital. Bom in Goldthwaite, Texas, on Oct. 23, 1932; she lived most of her life in north Dallas. She attended Hieronymus Business School located in Temple, Texas. She was a past president of the Dallas chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. She retired from Texas Instruments after 25 years of service as an executive secretary. She is preceded in death by brothers Byron Chaney, Thelmar Hammond, Marvin Hammond, Ray Hammond, Dee Ham mond, and Clifford Hammond. Nelda is lovingly remembered by her husband of 22 years, Jack Tigner of Plano; daughter Pamela and husband Bruce Boyer of New Braunfels; son Reland Kelly and wife Jan of Richardson; step-daughter Carolyn and husband Tony Cox of Arlington; grandchildren Rachel Boyer, Ryan Kelly, and Daniel Cox; and mother Irea Hammond of Goldthwaite; sister Nell Cunningham of Goldthwaite; brothers Per-ney Chaney of Clifton and Jack Chaney of Mullin. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996, Restland Wildwood Chapel. Internment Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 560089, Dallas TX, 75356. Cipriano “Cip” C. Palomo Cipriano “Cip” C. Palomo, age 65, of New Braunfels, died Tuesday, January 23, 1996 at his home. He was born September 26, 1930 in New Berlin, TX to Juan Palomo and Dorothea Campos Palomo. He married Juanita Valdez on October 22, 1950. He was a member of the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Louis Garcia, Frank Hernandez Jr., Sam Arispe, George Nevitt, Joe Palomo Jr. and Pablo Palomo Jr. Visitation continues until 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning when the procession departs the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice New Braunfels. Retired MSGT Fred Henson of New Braunfels, died Monday, January 22, 1996 at the age of 83. Funeral services are Friday, January 26 at 12:30 p.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors followed by masonic graveside services. Visitation begins after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will begin at IO a.m. on Wednesday and continue until service time on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, * 1996 at 2 p.m. at the Doeppenschmidt' Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles ' DeHaven officiating.
