New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - December 3, 1995, New Braunfels, Texas 14 B □ Herald-Zeitung □ Sunday, December 3,1995 Military Notes ■ Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Robert L. Banks, son of Barbara E. Theis, of New Braunfels, recently reported for duty aboard the amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge, flagship for the U.S. Seventh Fleet, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan. Banks’ new assignment is an example of how Navy and Marine Corps men and women are assigned to ships, squadrons and shore commands around the world. Whether serving in the Persian Gulf near Iraq or in the Adriatic Sea near Bosnia, people like Banks are making a difference as they work to improve their knowledge and skill as part of the most highly technical naval force in history. The 1991 graduate of New Braunfels High School joined the Navy in June 1993. ■ Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Russell S. Burton, son of Terry D. and Donna D.
