residence Friday December 1 1995 Mr Phillips Was bom to Daniel D Phillips and Golda How ell Phillips in Union Town Alabama During World War II he served in the Navy as a fighter pilot Mr Phillips is survived by daughter Amy Jones and husband French from Dallas son Dan Phillips and wife Susan of New Braunfels grandchildren Daniel Phillips Jr and Betsy Phillips and sis ter Lucille Foster from Alabama Mr Phillips will be cremated and a memorial service will be Saturday December in Marion Alabama Memorials may be made to Hospice New Braunfels fer Joseph George Schlleslng Joseph George Schliesing age 88 of New Braunfels TX died Friday December at his residence He was born October 26 1907 in San Antonio TX to Paul Anthony and Catherine Molberg Schliesing He was a resident of New Braunfels for 26 years and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church New Braun fels Mr Schliesing was also an asso ciate member of the San Antonio Liederkranz and member of San Anto nio Master Plumbers Association Sur vivors include his wife Thelma Toot sie Schliesing of New Bfaunfeisj daughter JoAnn Gittinger of San Anto nio son John Anthony Schliesing of Clear Lake TX brothers Paul and George Schliesing both of San Anto nio eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren A rosary will be recited followed by a funeral mass on Monday December 4 1995 at at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels TX with Msgr Edward Bily celebrant Interment will follow at Mis sion Burial Park South in San Antonio TX Pallbearers will be Leonard John Gittinger III Joseph Anton Gittinger John Steven Schliesing Paul Anthony Schliesing and James Melton Hon orary pallbearers will be Christopher Seguin Conservation Society puts five homes on display for annual event The 1996 Christmas Heritage Tour of Homes sponsored by the Seguin Conservation Society will be held today Sunday Dec 3 from 4 to 7 The tour now in its second year includes five homes They include the homes of John Allen and Beth Bauchman 921 E Col lege Elizabeth Hollamon 902 N Austin Donnie and Marty Keil 809 E Elm Victor and deary Vine 907 N Austin and the home historically known as the Fritz house owned by Texas Lutheran College and occupied by Jim and Judy Johnson 402 Fritz St Also on view will be the historic Moore House 902 Johnson in all of its Christmas finery Ticket holders will receive light refreshments at the Moore House in addition to entertainment All of the homes will be decorated in the spirit of Christmas Docents as well as members of the Seguin High School Naval will be present to
