On Friday, Sept. 15, the Friends of Tye Preston Memorial Library will present Dr. Luke Bucci, author of Pain Free, a book already on the shelf at the library. Pain Free is described as the definitive guide to healing arthritis, low back pain and sports injuries through nutrition and supplements. Dr. Bucci received his Ph.D. (magna cum laude) in biomedical science from the University of Texas in Houston and has spent more than ten years of painstaking clinical research on the effects of nutrition to help the body heal itself. Entertaining and informative, Dr. Bucci is a leading lecturer in his field and we are indeed fortunate that he is willing to take time from his position as director of science and research at Spectra Cell Laboratory in Houston to speak to us. Join us at St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church, Hwy. 306, on Friday, Sept. 15 at I p.m. Nutritious and delicious cookies and punch will be served. Advance tickets may be purchased now at the library for a $3 donation. All proceeds benefit Tye Preston Memorial Library in Sattler.
