New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - August 15, 1995, New Braunfels, Texas 2 □ Herald-Zeitung □ Tuesday,August 15, 1995 Mrs. John (Iona) Krause Mrs. John (Iona) Krause, of New Braunfels, passed away at Eden Home on Saturday, Aug. 12, 1995 at the age of 87. She was bom Oct. 25, 1907 in Bigfoot, Texas to Robert and Elsie (Henson) Patterson and married John Krause on Jan, 31, 1927 in New Braunfels. Her husband preceded her in death on May 18, 1985. Mrs. Krause was a resident of New Braunfels since 1926. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member and past president of United Methodist Church Women’s Society and a member of the Greene Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Gladys Krause, of New Braunfels; two sisters-in-law. Ruby and Velma Patterson; grandchildren. Cerise Krause Strzelczyk and husband Michael, of San Angelo, Texas, Paul Ross Krause and wife Denise, of New Braunfels, and Glenn Krause and wife Carrie, of Canyon Lake; 7 great-grandchildren, Justen Strzelczyk, Katie. Amie, Cody, Jenny, Jordan and Jessie Krause. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1995 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with interment following at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. The Rev. Fred Martin will officiate the services. Visitation began at 2 p.m. on Monday and continues through noon Tuesday at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or to the charity of one’s choice. Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home Roma Koopp Binford Roma Koepp Binford. of New Braunfels, passed away at Eden Home on Saturday, Aug. 12, 1995 at the age of 90. She w as bom on March 24. 1905 to Adolph and Onllie (Meckel) Koepp and mam cd Col. Thomas E. Binford. Her husband preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Binford was a music teacher for 50 years She was a member of First United Methodist Church; a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers: founder and charter member of New Braunfels Music Study Club; was an organist at Eastern Star. Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home. First United Methodist Church. First Protestant Church and New Braunfels Presbyter, an Church. She received her musical training a the San Antonio College of Music, Chicago Conservatory and advanced organ training with Prof. Cibaries Gaiioway ax the Washington University at St. Louis, Mo. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Paul (Alice) Seeliger, of New Braunfels; one niece, Kaye Koepp Bilbrcy, of New Braunfels; three nephews, Evans Lee Koepp, of Waco, Texas, David Rennie Koepp, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and W. Philip Koepp, of Big Bend National Park, Texas; 5 great-nieccs; 4 great-nephews; 2 great-great nieces; and 7 great-great-nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1995 at IO a.m. at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home with interment following at the New Braunfels Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Martin will officiate the services. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the chanty of one's choice. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 16, 1995 at 10:30 a m. at Cranes Mill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Perdue officiating. Interment will be at the Cranes Mill Cemetery. Funeral services will be held Tues day, Aug. 15,1995 at 3:30 p.m. at the Goetz Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Probst officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home. Visitation began at IO a.m. Monday.
