The workshop will be held Saturday, June IO from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Landa Park. Participants will receive a copy of the Project WILD Activity Guide for Kindergarten to Grade 12 levels. They may also obtain six hours of TEEAC credit. The workshop is recommended for any adults involved in leading youth groups or teaching.Fireworks display needs money The city of New Braunfels is seeking donations to help fund the July 4 fireworks display. Summer recreation program expands The city of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department is expanding the boundaries of the Summer Recreation Program to include all low income children living in the New Braunfels corporate city limits. Recreational and educational activities are available at the Lone Star School and the Lamar School. Activities throughout the summer will be based on themes such as safety, heafth and fitness, multi-cultural themes, Olympics, science and nature, pioneer life, around the world and careers. Program operates Monday - Friday, noon to 5:30 p.m. Participants must be six to 12 years old and meet residential and income guidelines. Session I is from June 5 -30. Session 2 is from July IO to Aug. 4. Fees range from $5 to $25 per session, based on family income. For information and registration, call 608-2167.
