New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung (Newspaper) - June 2, 1995, New Braunfels, Texas A a Friday June 19 Wheels Isuzu pickup X This solid wellbuilt truck offers excellent value with few frills David Sullens Isuzus standard bed pickup is an outstanding automotive value The little truck we test ed had few bells and Its windows cranked up and down the old fashioned way and to lock its doors you pushed the I were commuting to a job in Austin or San Antonio day in and day out the Isuzu with its combination of 25 mile per gallon fuel economy low initial cost comfort and driveability and its utility as a light hauler would be a serious contender when it came time to pick transportation Isuzu has produced more than million of the little trucks worldwide so the vehicle has a strong track record for durability and dependability The most popular version of the Isuzu pick up was the one we tested the twowheel dri ve standard bed truck powered by Isuzus powerplant mated with a 5speed manual
