county This being the Sesquicentennial year and every ones focus cen tering on the Ger man heritage of New Braunfels it seems like a good time to give one of our earliest settlers something he lost a while Allene Blaker name About two years ago one of the road signs on Loop 337 designating Dliedcrs Creek was destroyed probably because of a traf fic accident It was replaced but the Spelling on the new sign was wrong It read BLEIDERS Creek For a while one side of the bridge would read BLUDiarS the other DERS Maybe someone finally noticed the discrepancy or maybe someone hit the correct sign Whiitevei it too replaced and both DERS Creek The correct spelling ol anynne name is impoitant as is the pionuna ation In German ie is pionomicnl like the letter while ei is pio nounccd like the Idiot
