Cibolo died Wednesday April 19 1995 at the Village Oaks Medical Cen ter He was born Jan 9 1911 in Guadalupe County to Ernest and Alma Wetz Katt He married Linda Haecker on Nov in Guadalupe Coun ty He was a lifelong resident of the Cibolo area where he farmed and ranched He was a member of the St Paul United Church of Christ in Cibo lo since 1944 a lifetime member of the Cibolo Volunteer Fireman Associ ation lifetime member of the Cibolo Bowling Club the Germania Schuet zen Verein the Texas Farm Bureau lifetime member of the Cibolo Her mann Sons Lodge and his pride and joy the State SKAT Association He served as trustee of the Lower Val ley School for 18 years He worked and served on the committee forthe Guadalupe County ASCS for 21 years and he served as substitute mail carri er for 18 years for the Cibolo rural route He is survived by his wife Linda F Katt of Cibolo daughters and sons inlaw Dorothy Dolly and Rich Attkisson of San Antonio Sylvia Bat sy and Bobby SeilerofSan Antonio and Viola Bootsy and Frank Nor wood of Abilene grandchildren Karen A Johnson and her husband David Keith R Williams and his wife Joane Rodney J Seiler Brian W Seiler and his wife Kristina Scott A Seiler and his wife Charlotte Kenneth P Nor wood Cynthia Cindy Hubler and her husband Parley 4 greatgranddaugh ters and numerous nieces and nephews Mr Katt was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Alma Katt and three brothers Erwin Edwin and Roman Katt Funeral services are Friday April 21 1995 at 3 at the St Paul Unit ed Church of Christ in Cibolo with Rev Dennis Brayman officiating Inter ment will follow in the Guadalupe Val ley Memorial Park Serving as pallbearers will be Keith R Williams Rodney J Seiler Brian W Seiler Kenneth P Norwood Scott A Seiler and Ray Katt Honorary pall bearers are his SKAT playing buddiesT Memorials may be made to the St Paul United Church of Christ in Cibo lo the American Heart Association the American Diabetes Association or to the charity of ones choice Jo Ann Simmons Jo Ann Simmons of New Braun fels passed away Thursday April 20 1995 at San Antonio Regional Hospi tal in San Antonio at the age of 62 She was bom July 7 1932 in Weimar Texas to Emil and Evelyn Taylor Schindler and married Aubrey F Sim mons in Dallas on Sept 27 1975 A resident of New Braunfels she was a school teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church mem ber of the Garden Club and a member of the United Methodist Church Deb orah Circle Survivors include her husband Aubrey F Simmons of New Braun fels a daughter Janet Clevenger of Flower Mound two sons Brian Sim mons of New Braunfcls and Jim Whitley of Crowley Texas Funeral services will be held Satur day April 22 1995 at 1 at the Zocller Funeral Home with Rev Fred Martin officiating Interment will fulfilling his campaign promise of lawsuit reform signing a key bill to limit money injured Texans can receive from individuals or companies pun ished for wrongdoing Bush said Thursday after signing the bill limiting punitive damages the corner stone in a package of bills expected to be sent from the Legislature to his desk Lawsuit reform limiting damages crack ing down on frivolous suits and
